Begin Again

January 2025

Hello friends far and near! After taking a bit of a break, I'm back. I've missed my art world, and I'm ready for more creative moments, connections, and adventures. While I've been away, I both lost my old website and have been a little busy.

1. I got a lovely day job I am thankful for and gives me fulfillment

2. I ran my first 5K

3. I got married

4. I went on my first international trip to Paris with the hubby!

It has been hard to find a balance of art and what works in a week's schedule. It feels like I'm returning to an old friend. A best friend. If you're like me, you like to to all the things and celebrate the many opportunities that come. But as we are in winter, and it sure is "wintering" to say the least, sometimes no is the best answer you can give. That way returning, you are at your fullest, most authentic, and grounded self. And a "yes" is a "yes" in real celebration.

Baby steps are key to avoid any burnout. I like myself a weekly project. During the pandemic, I had created my webcomic Silly Pigs. It took 100 days to be really good at something. I believe I can begin a project and be good at it in another 100 days. And so can you!

I am looking forward to what this year holds. Please know my little corner on the web is a place for all. So get yourself comfy, pour yourself a cup of tea, and get ready for more silly and fun characters and stories to come alive.
